What does my $7 go toward?
A portion goes to National PTA, Kentucky PTA, and 16th District PTA dues. The rest stays at Southern Elementary to fund programs, events, classroom grants, and teacher support.
Do I have to volunteer if I join?
Not at all! PTA is NOT a huge time commitment. You can give as much or as little time as you wish. Staying informed and attending events counts too!
Is PTA just about fundraising?
No! We focus our fundraising on two big events — the Fall Booster Glow Run and Spring Carnival. Beyond your $7 membership, there's no requirement to give money.
Can grandparents or community members join?
Absolutely! PTA membership is open to anyone who wants to support Southern Elementary — parents, grandparents, neighbors, and local businesses are all welcome.
